Hey there! I’m Lorenzo, aka Lukather, and this is a new issue of the renowned newsletter Lukather’s Trove!
This will be a transitional issue, my original idea for the newsletter was to give visibility to interesting, unique, lesser-known indie games. As they say, appetite comes with eating, so I would like to broaden my vision and embark on a journey into video gaming in general, but always linking it to the indie world — more on that in the next issue.
In this issue, as well as looking at some indiegames together, I would like to offer you a sort of guide to untangling yourself in the fantastic world of indie games.
There are several channels, besides this newsletter, to discover new games and meet indie developers. One of the main channels is Twitter with good use of hashtags:

Thanks to these three links, you should already be able to discover quite a few new games, it is clearly up to you to discern which ones are best for you.
If you are looking for something more guided, I recommend IndieGamesCollective, a very well-organised group of creators of which I was a member.
Another good source for discovering indie games is the steam curators. There are a few for all tastes, the ones I follow and recommend are the following

Then we have the classic YouYube, to be honest, I don't follow a lot of content creators dedicated to indiegames on this platform, but I still try to point you to some of the ones I know.

Some news!
You probably don't know this but one of the things I like to do, especially before bed (thanks to Steam Deck) is to read the news and patch notes of the games I have and follow on Steam. To understand, I'm talking about these:

This is pretty related to the main topic of the newsletter: The best indie games 2022 by PC Gamer.
I don’t know why but more people are playing Sons of the Forest on Steam than Hogwarts Legacy.

Spacebourne 2 lads!
I discovered this game on Twitch thanks to Bognogus, a streamer who is passionate about sci-fi and games set in space (X4, Elite, Star Citizen, No Man's Sky etc.).
I thought it was very interesting, I asked Bog a few questions and he was enthusiastic about the game.
Doing a little research, I found out that SpaceBourne 2 (yes, there is also the first one) is developed by one person, and given the vastness of the game and the possibilities it offers, that is amazing.
There are still things to be refined and corners to be smoothed but it is perfectly playable and enjoyable despite still being in Early Access.
